That Wonderful Light

Like a moth to a flame, I fly to your side.
I seek to know you and all that you hide.
The days I spend dwelling with thoughts in my mind, of you and me are the happiest of times. They lead me to believe that life has its prime, and I am in the midst of this precious, most glorious time.
Therefore, I tarry there for as long as I can.
To drink of your spirit with hopes that I might, become closer to you so close to your light.
But as I grow older and wiser I see, it has come to be clear so clear to me, that you and I shall never be, so close to one another as you and she.
Nevertheless, I thank you dearly for those parts of your life, which you have offered to share, they are always a welcomed present I open with glee, and I love when share them with little old me.
So, when I look back on our times I see a great friendship filled with trust from a man who has loved me at a distance. It is a wonderful thing to have made your acquaintance.
